Maybe the most intimate relationship of our age is that between employee and boss… I do what you say, so that you will soften towards me. I do what you need, because you give me life.
I do not need my life being held hostage by someone who denigrates me, abuses me, wrings me of all my energy & demands more. That sort of sickness poisons the well, and degrades the quality of life. We’re conditioned to love the poison, to grin and bear it, but it ever ok to drink poisoned water?
NO!
I don’t care, “that’s just how it is,” “every boss is like that,” “everywhere is the same.”
NO!
I cannot and will not sip from a poisoned well.
I WANT A BOSS LIKE A LOVER.
Care about me, worry about me, tend to my health. Because you know as well as I, that this connection is sacred.
Holding someone’s life in your hands is such a grand responsibility — we want life to grow and flourish, not decay and die. I am not a resource to be mined and thrown away when empty — I am your sweet, precious lover.
Me, who makes your vision come true. Me, who is at your beck and call. I deserve the best! Simply providing the bare means for living is far, far too cheap.
Are you a miser?
Or are you a lover?
Those who think money makes up for all abuses are a dime a dozen. But that mindset is not the joy of the common, it is the ubiquity of TRASH.
I do not allow trash inside my precious body, because it poisons the well. I do not allow trash to speak to me, lest it poison the well. I do not allow trash into my life, because it is not worthy. Because I am here to live and grow, and so are you.
If you are a lover and not the lowest of trash,
give freely to me,
nuture me,
gaze upon me with love & affection.
Let this be a sacred space where life flourishes and grows.
